The Real Bippity Alice  Alice remembers organizing the fabrics in her grandmother’s cupboard as a young girl.  She learned to sew in order to make these and other prized pieces of cloth into doll dresses and little bags for an assortment of cherished items.  As she grew up, so did her interest in fabric.  She made many of her own dresses in high school and college and even her own wedding dress. She learned to quilt and worked in a fabric store while getting her master’s degree in teaching.  After teaching 7th graders for five years, she retired to raise her own child, now three. The original Bippity Bib was made for him when he started feeding himself with a spoon and fork at 8 months old. (He is still wearing the aprons today.)  She recently made a quilt of the solar system, since he is keenly interested in the planets, the space probes that have visited them, and the various rockets that propel those.
